DuChateau Floors are designed with that European feel, design, and look. Reporduction of time worn floors that have stood the test of time through many years or wear. DuChateau uses a hard-wax oil finish that is easily repaired and maintained. The philosophy of DuChateau Flooring is to utilize the natural character and grain of the hardwood and use a lot of oak since the grain pattern is wider and distinct. Recreating a vintage look so the floor looks and feels like a "real" wood floor is what DuChateau hardwood flooring is all about.
DuChateau Floors use environmentally sound methods of production and try to use mostly renewable forest products to produce DuChateau floors. The wire brushed, hand scraped, and plain sawn looks make this flooring line one of the most exciting lines we have had to offer in years. DuChateau® Internet Purchasing Policy
The Internet is an excellent tool to expedite finding information about specific companies and their respective product lines. DuChateau recognizes the importance of the Internet’s worth in offering a wider understanding of our products, showcasing the beauty of different wood species and finishes, educating consumers and spurring on visits to local showrooms.
These showrooms are where sales should be discussed and consummated due to the complexity of product selection and prerequisites for floor installation. Sales professionals at these locations have been trained to highlight DuChateau’s quality procedures, thus ensuring the consumer selects a floor perfect for his or her needs… and is perfectly installed.
At DuChateau, our goal is to provide consumers, installers, builders and distributors with the highest quality products in the hardwood flooring industry. In order to protect the consumer, we therefore offer our products through a network of DuChateau Authorized Dealers which does not include Internet Dealers.
Caveat emptor! Beware of products offered at Internet discount rates. Hidden costs such as freight and installation are generally not reflected in those discounts. We highly recommend that you work with a local authorized dealer who offers the benefits of full warranty protection, superior customer service and manufacturer-backed quality… all which are reflected in their prices.
Before making the decision to purchase a DuChateau product from an interest site, please consider the following:
- Buying via the internet is different than shopping at your local retailer. Before you buy online, consider the service, comfort, and ease of mind an authorized DuChateau retailer will offer.
- Note that DuChateau will not honor any warranty claim without a prior inspection by the authorized DuChateau dealer/re-seller who sold the product. This scenario ranges from very difficult to near impossible if our products are purchased from an internet dealer.
- Improper installation is the number one cause of claims and consumer dissatisfaction. Authorized DuChateau dealers stand behind installation of products they have sold. In almost every case, Internet dealers require you find your own installers and assess their skill level.
If the internet price is significantly less than that of a local authorized DuChateau dealer’s price prior to installation, you may not be buying an authentic DuChateau product. Over the years, we have actually uncovered Internet dealers selling counterfeit DuChateau products, representing them to be authentic!
