Plantation Plank will display all of the characteristics of both Estate and Manor. It will also have some of the wood characteristics of Cottage but will not include finish defects. Average lengths of this product will be longer than any of the other grades at approximately 4 to 5 feet. This product comes with a 25 year finish warranty.
Since this is a non-stocking product, please allow 2-4 weeks for production.
All products can be wire brushed for an "antiqued" appearance.
Finish
All of the Homestead Collection has a stain or sealer coat applied first. A reverse fill application is then applied in order to fill any open grain. Two seal coats and three top coats are applied to finish the process. The total finish applied is 2.5 to 2.8 mils in comparison to the 1.8 to 2.0 that most manufacturers use.
Micro Bevel with Square Ends
The bevel on 2-1/4" and 3-1/4" starts at .04" and is approximately .02" after finishing.
The bevel on 4" and 5" starts at .07" and is approximately .05" after finishing.
Sheen
The sheen on all of the Homestead Collection is approximately a 50 gloss level. This gloss level is reduced on Plantation Plank (45 gloss level) and our wire brushed products.
